Dropdown List
Dropdown lists should be used when you want users to pick from a list of options.
The options can be provided in two ways. You can create a list of options, or you can link the dropdown to another form field. When you link to another form field, the drop down will be filled with answers that have been submitted in that form field.

Link to another form for options
Linking to another form allows you to use responses to an existing form as the options for your dropdown. This let you quickly create a dropdown and also keep responses consistent. To link to another form you must enable Smart Respsonses on that form first.

Create a multiselect dropdown list
Creating a Multiselect dropdown list allows users to choose more than one option from the dropdown list.
Using Empty Values with the Dropdown List
You can set options in the dropdown list that have an empty value. This can be useful when you want to force users to pick from a list and provide an empty value at the top, or it can be used to break up a list by having empty values in between sections of a list.
When using empty values, it is recommended that you set the required parameter to true, ensuring that users have to pick an item from the list.
