Input Field Macros
Field macros are placed inside the Forms macro to capture user responses.
Each macro corresponds to a different type of input, such as text, multiple choice, ratings, or file uploads.
When you insert a field macro, you configure its properties (name, label, and validation). Each field is tied to the Form ID used by the container.
- Additional Recipients - lets a respondent add extra email recipients who will receive a copy of the response.
- Attachment - allows file uploads; files are available in emails and the internal response database (size limited by Confluence's attachment settings).
- Checkbox Group - multiple selections from a list you set up.
- Checkbox Matrix - grid of checkboxes enabling multiple answers per row (good for reviews).
- Conditional Fields - show/hide other fields based on answers; only visible fields are submitted (does not work with Hidden Field, which is always hidden).
- Time and Date Picker - date-selection control.
- Dropdown List - responders choose from a list of options.
- Hidden Field - stores a value without displaying it; supports Confluence Values.
- Input Fields - short free-text answers.
- Radio Button Group - single selection from multiple options.
- Radio Matrix - grid of radio buttons (one answer per row), commonly used for ratings.
- Star Rating - visual rating scale (stars/hearts/smiley).
- Textarea - multi-line, free-text responses.
- User Picker - search/select one or more Confluence users; can restrict by group.
