Schedule a post

There are three ways to start scheduling a post:

  1. Select Create Post from the header menu.
  2. Click Create New Post in the Create a Post tile on the homepage.
  3. Click New Post on the Recent Posts page.

Whichever method you use, you are taken to the Create a Post screen.

Create a Post

The Create a Post screen presents you with a form where you can enter all the necessary details:

  1. Select the platform and account where you want to publish the post.
  2. Write the caption for your post.
  3. Schedule a date and time to publish your post. This is optional and is not needed if you are going to post your content now.
  4. Add media. This is optional for all but Instagram, which requires it. Any media must meet the platform's criteria outlined below. Click the ellipses to:
    • Change the title of a document in a LinkedIn post.
    • Add alt text to images (1000 character limit). 

The Preview pane shows how your post will look when published on your chosen platform.

Once your post is ready, click Post Now to publish it immediately or Schedule Post to post it on the date and time specified in step 3.

Supported media

Each platform has its own criteria for media content that can be added to a post.

Facebook

Images: 

  • Max file size: 4 MB
  • Format: JPG/JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF

Videos: 

  • Minimum length: 1 sec
  • Maximum length: 240 min
  • Max file size: 10GB
  • Format: MP4, MOV

Instagram

Types of post

Instagram uses different names and has different media limits depending on the type of media you are posting.

If your media consists of just one image, Instagram calls it a Post.

If your media consists of just one video, Instagram calls it a Reel.

If your media consists of multiple images and/or videos, Instagram calls it a Carousel.

Post limits:

  • Max file size: 4 MB
  • Format: JPG/JPEG, PNG
  • Aspect ratio: Must be between 4:5 and 1.91:1

Reel limits:

  • Minimum video length: 1 second
  • Maximum video length: 15 minutes max 
  • Video format: MP4, MOV
  • Aspect ratio: Must be between 0.01:1 and 10:1

    We recommend an aspect ratio of 9:16 to avoid cropping or blank space.

Carousel limits:

  • Maximum images/videos per post: 10
  • Image max size: 4 MB
  • Image Format: JPG/JPEG, PNG
  • Maximum video size: 300MB
  • Video format: MP4, MOV
  • Minimum video length: 3 sec
  • Maximum video length: 60 sec
  • Aspect ratio: Must be between 4:5 and 1.91:1

LinkedIn

Images: 

  • Images per post: 9
  • Maximum file size: 5 MB (we'll automatically compress images that are 20MB or less for you)
  • Aspect ratio: 1.91:1 recommended
  • Format: JPG/JPEG, PNG, GIF

Videos: 

  • Videos per post: 1
  • Minimum video length: 3 sec
  • Maximum video length: 10 min

Documents:

  • Documents per post: 1
  • Maximum file size: 100 MB
  • Format: PPT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX, PDF

You can use only one attachment type per LinkedIn post, i.e. you can only use images, OR a video, OR a document in any individual post.
