[All Adaptavist Apps]
This tab is accessed from the Layout Manager in Theme Builder 3.0 and above.
The Layout tab allows you to customise which panels are shown within the selected layout...The toolbar at the top of the layout tab allows you to select which panels are shown in the layout.
Click any of the buttons on the toolbar and the corresponding layout panel will be toggled on or off (depending on it's current state).
Note: The sliders can only be enabled if their corresponding sidebar has been enabled.
When you click on a panel in the Layout Preview area, the Panel Editor is shown at the bottom of the page allowing you to customise the panel (background, borders, etc) and it's contents.
Note: Panel contents are not shown in the Layout Preview.

I would like the navigation to appear before the menu. How do i make that happen?

Just copy the wiki notation from the menu panel in to the navigation panel and vice versa.

I addes a left sidebar to my layout. Good thing in pages. But when I switch to the space administration this sidebar is making the page too wide. Is it possible to filter the context in page and admin?

When I modify the nav bar, it always applies a grey background despite what I choose in the background picker.

Nevermind... I'm limited to about a dozen menu styles unless I get brave enough to do this: http://www.adaptavist.com/display/Builder/Customising+Menu+Styles

Despite the page title, I find it is often easiest to go the whole hog and start from a Custom menu style and code it all yourself!

Hi,
don't know if this is the best place to put this and maybe I even have to address this on the other side, but I'm using the Theme Builder in combination with the Workflow plugin.
In the Navigation part of my Layout, I use the pagestatus macro of the workflow plugin.
This all works fine, except when I'm not directly on a page, but on Space Admin or the pages overview of my space. Then I get the following error:
Error formatting macro: pagestatus: java.lang.ClassCastException: com.atlassian.confluence.spaces.SpaceDescription$$EnhancerByCGLIB$$5c2ec3a cannot be cast to com.atlassian.confluence.pages.AbstractPage
Is this a bug or something I did wrong or?

You really should be posting these kinds of questions to the Forum ... but wrap your macro call in a {builder-show:context=page}

hi Alain,
Tnx for the fix.
Somehow I completely missed the existence of the forum. will use that from now on.

Can you please help me? I have edited the default layout and now no tab for configuration is displayedin order to restore it or change it. What can I do? Shall I have to change it from configuration files of the Confluence?
thank you!
Unknown User (amoran)
It should not be possible for you to edit the DEFAULT layout - it is read-only.
Can you explain what steps you took to achieve this?
Unknown User (tbersimis)
Probably you are right.I may edited a child layout of the Default layout in the layout hierachy (maybe TESTLAYOUT), excuse me for not being precise but I am a begginer with theme builder. So I after I created a space and some pages I changed the theme to an Adaptavist Theme Builder one. I discovered that there was an option to edit the layout so I chose from the site admin>edit layout and entered the page that provided a preview of the existing layout with links to layout manager and theme administrator. Then layout manager>layout tab as above, I clicked some of the tabs for header, left sidebar and so on and saved it. Then I also saved it on the previous page that shows a preview as I mentioned before. Now with the new layout with sidebars and so on there are no menu, navigation bars with configuration tabs in order to change it again, what can I do?
thank you very much again,

Hi Thomas,
I have responded to your email also - but included part of my response here:

Another alternative is to append:
to the URL of the space in question. This will re-instate the default layout and latch it to your space. Once the layout changes are as you want - you can append:
to the URL to clear the latch and use the layout you have specified.

Thank you very much for your instant and helpful answer!
