How to generate a Trello API key/token

This page shows how to generate a Trello API key/token.

First example

  1. Authorize: https://trello.com/.
  2. Navigate to: https://trello.com/app-key.
  3. Copy the API Key and paste it into the API Key field.
  4. Click on the Token link to generate an API Token.
  5. Click the Allow button.
  6. Copy the Token and paste it into the API Token field.

Second example

  1. Authorize: https://trello.com/.
  2. Visit: https://trello.com/power-ups/admin/.
  3. Click New.
  4. Fill in the required fields: Integration Name, Email, Support, and Name.
  5. Select the appropriate Trello instance.
  6. Click Create.
  7. Navigate to API Key and click Generate a new API key.
  8. Copy the API Key and paste it into the API Key field.
  9. Next to the API Key description, there's a link to the token.
  10. Click on the Token link to generate an API Token.
  11. Click the Allow button.
  12. Copy the API Token to the API token field.
  13. Copy the Token and paste it into the API Token field.
