Prepare for A Migration

Macro Usage Report
To ensure a smooth migration, we recommend reviewing your content in Confluence DC and identifying pages that rely heavily on macros. Mosaic’s Macro Usage Audit Report generates a CSV listing all pages that use Mosaic macros. This report helps you:
Identify pages containing Mosaic macros
Assess potential compatibility risks
Take action before migration to prevent broken or missing content in the Cloud environment
To run a macro usage report:
- Select the Cog icon from the top ribbon in Confluence.
- Select Manage apps.
- In the left-hand menu select Macro Usage Audit Report under the Mosaic Macros heading.
- Click Start Scan.
All pages in your Confluence space are scanned for Mosaic macro usage, a CSV file is created, and listed in the scan results table.This may take some time depending on the size and complexity of your confluence instance.
- Click Download Report.
The CSV report shows the page title, link, which macros are being use, and a link to any available migration documentation.
