Quick Configuration guide
This is a Quick-Start Guide for configuring Trello Board Inside Jira app. Explore the comprehensive instructions below.
1. Board Creation
Navigate to Apps → TrelloBoard→ Manage Boards.
Click the Create Board button located in the upper right-hand corner.
Input Board Name and Description.
Upon successful creation, your new board will appear in the list. Select it.
Opt for the top-right ... to get access to the Board settings. Learn more.
You will encounter Configuration tabs on the left-hand side. The next step involves adding Sources.
2. Adding Sources
Navigate to Board Settings → click Create→ Trello/Jira source.
Fill in the required data. Examine the example provided.
For Cloud sources, you need an API token for authentication. Check how to generate API token.
Important: We do not retain your login details. They are solely utilized to access the target source: Jira.
3. Column Configuration
Match listed 'Unmapped statuses' with the respective Columns. Only statuses holding issues need mapping. You will receive notifications whenever new issues emerge in unmapped statuses.
Columns can be added, renamed, removed, and their sequence changed. Learn more.
4. Swimlane Configuration
Choose between two options to base swimlanes on: 'Jira Instances' and 'JQL queries'. Learn more.
5. Board Sharing
The board you've crafted can be shared with other users or user groups, with access granted through 'View' and 'Edit' permissions. Learn more.
