Brief Overview

In Theme Builder 23.1 0 and above, you can attach a layout to another layout (the "parent" layout) in order to inherit settings from that parent layout as shown below:

The "Inherit" setting only found within the Panel Editor, the "Use Default..." setting is found almost everywhere within the Layout Manager.

FAQ's

Sometimes default settings don't show immediately - why?

There's a minor timing bug with the auto-save feature when you navigate to another layout, etc. For best results whilst editing, save the changes to the current layout before moving to a different layout.

If you select a different layout and find that some of the settings from the parent layout haven't been applied, it's likely that the layout was opened before the changes to the parent layout had finished saving. Click the Reload button on the toolbar to reload the current layoutNone at present.
