Community Forums Forge Migration
This page explains how and when Community Forums will migrate from Atlassian Connect to Atlassian Forge ahead of Connect's end of support in December 2026.
Why Migrate to Forge
Atlassian is retiring the Connect app platform, with support ending in December 2026. Community Forums currently runs on a hybrid Connect-on-Forge architecture (a Forge app wrapping Connect modules). We are actively rebuilding the app natively on Forge so that it continues to receive updates, security patches, and new features after Connect is retired.
Current Status
The migration is in progress and not yet complete. The Forge-native version of Community Forums is under active development. Until it is released, your installed app continues to run on the current Connect-on-Forge version and will keep working exactly as it does today.

What this means for you
No action is required right now. Existing Community Forums installations will keep working as-is.
No data is be lost. Forums, topics, and settings carry over to the Forge-native version.
When the Forge-native version is ready, an in-app and/or email notice will be published with upgrade instructions before any action is needed on your part.
There is no need to install a separate app — the migration will be delivered as an update to your existing Community Forums installation.
