MeaningfulMarkup theme config

This theme config is taken from the MeaningfulMarkup wiki and shows how to create familiar view/edit/attachments/info tabs at the top of pages. See it in action »

Disclaimer

This theme config automatically generates a menu bar based on the pages attached to the page called "Home" within your space. If you don't have a home page the menu might contain an error message (easy to fix - just edit the wiki notation in the navigation panel to whatever your space home page is called). Also, if there are too many pages attached to that home page, they won't fit on the menu bar.

Prerequisites

You'll need to install the following plugins before you can use this theme config:

  • Confluence 2.1 or above
  • Theme Builder 2.0.x or above
  • Content Formatting Macros plugin (latest version)
  • Page Information Plugin (latest version)

Note: The theme uses "portals" in the right sidebar and footnotes panels to display one or more "widgets" - if you're not using Community Bubbles, you'll have to replace the {portal} macros with something else. If you are using Community Bubbles, you'll have to create some portals and update the theme config to reflect the portal id's you've used.

Installation Instructions

  1. Create a new space, and select the Theme Builder theme.
  2. Go in to Theme Configuration (Edit > Administration > Theme Configuration)
  3. Choose File > Upload Settings... (you may have to click this twice to get the upload panel to appear)
  4. Upload MM_ThemeSettings.xml

Serving Suggestions

Use our Community Bubbles plugin to add portals to the right sidebar and footnotes panel in theme config.

I'm having an issue with this plugin (Using Themebuilder 3.0) Unfortunately whenever I apply the theme it looks like this

The buttons are very spread out. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks so much

I'll be uploading a new version in a week or so. It looks like an issue with the margins and padding so should be relatively straightforward to fix.

        Thanks Guy,

I've tried just about everything to fix it with no success. Been hacking away at the CSS with no luck.

Do you guys have any other sample templates besides the 3? They are such a great starting point for the Builder.

Has anybody been able to find a fix for this template in TB3? I would also like to test it but I am having the same issue as Dan.

I have adapted this sample theme to my needs. Though, I have an issue: how to include the "add comment" section into the page? I have try to "hack" the XML without sucess.
Is there any documentation on the theme format (XML) available?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I solved the "problem" by adding
      {builder-children}{builder-comments}
      to the footnote panel (wink)

I am using Confluence 2.9.2 With builder version 3.3.2.
The instructions to upload the xml file seem to be outdated. I also tried uploading it from the Theme Administration page and nothing happened. Can someone assist in providing a way to upload this theme.
    thanks
