[All Adaptavist Apps]

Page tree

Hi All,

Firstly I'm relatively new to Confluence and Adaptavist, I inherited our intranet support from another staff member.  We have version 2.7 of Confluence we are looking to upgrade to 3.0.  Given the different builds of Adaptavist required between 2.7 and 3.0 is there any particular order I should perform the upgrade in?  I was going to do this:

1. backup Confluence and database

2. Upgrade Confluence to 3.0

3. Upgrade Adaptavist to 3.3.5 for Confluence 3.0

If there is a better/easier way to do it then let please me know.

Regards

Dan

I would uninstall ALL third party plugins before upgrading confluence ... Especially when moving between such major versions.

FYI: there were binary incompatibilities introduced into confluence between 2.7 & 2.9, again between 2.9 & 2.10 and then again between 2.10 & 3.0 ... it is quite possible that having confluence 2.7 plugins installed will utterly break your 3.0 instance.

The simplest way to avoid this is to uninstall them before upgrading - it's pretty standard procedure.

Cool, thanks Alain, I'll do that!
