[All Adaptavist Apps]
I'm using Confluence 3.1.1 and I recently upgraded to Theme Builder 4.0.1 and now my space admins cannot edit their layouts. They get a permission denied error. With full admin access, I can edit those layouts but no one else can. I've verified that my global permssions are correct. Help please!!
On a different note, I don't see a select or apply button on the global permissions page. Is that normal?

Add one of the @spaceadmin meta-group names to the global permissions list.
meta-groups available are:
At the moment the changes to the global permissions are applied when you change the focus (click to a different input)

Can you explain further? I'm not sure I understand what you are saying.

Type '@spaceadmin-*' into the manage-layouts permission box (without the 'quotes'), and then click into one of the other boxes and you should be good to go.

Doesn't work. I still get the following error when attempting to edit a layout with a test account.
"You are not permitted to perform this operation."

Upgrade to 4.0.2

I've upgraded to 4.0.2 and Space admins are no longer receiving an error on the layout manager but a different problem has emerged. Now they can edit the layouts but they cannot save any changes. Only confluence administrators can save changes. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm seeing the same issue on 4.0.2: Users who should have permissions can't save their changes. Only Confluence Admins can save changes that I've noticed.
Was there a solution to this problem?

Not that I know of.

I'm seeing the exact same issue - has this been resolved?

Your workaround is to create a layout-managers confluence group and assign those users you want to grant layout managing permission to it ... this could easily be confluence-users since you need to be a space/site admin to view the manage-layouts action anyway.Your workaround is to create a layout-managers confluence group and assign those users you want to grant layout managing permission to it ... this could easily be confluence-users since you need to be a space/site admin to view the manage-layouts action anyway.

Alain - thanks for the fast response!
Actually that is how I have it configured. Those with permission to use the theme builder are members of a group called (creatively) "adaptavist-theme-builder".
Any other tips?
We are using Confluence 3.2 / Theme Builder 4.0.2 and we use LDAP for our user authentication (if that matters).

Detailed investigation would require a support contract I'm afraid

Thanks, Alain! I'll seek approval to purchase a support contract. You guys make great stuff!
Take care,
