Content Formatting Macros for Confluence Server and DC

Tooltip

This macro allows you to assign a tooltip to an element on the page using the element’s ID. For example, you can assign a tooltip to a Span macro.

The Tooltip macro does not impact the appearance of a page by altering the appearance of your element. This allows for the flexibility to format the targeted element to desired specifications.

Usage

Please note that in order to assign a Tooltip to an element, the targeted element must first be created.

  1. Navigate to the page that you want to edit.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Click Insert More Content, and select Other Macros.

  4. Select the Tooltip macro from the Macro Browser.

  5. Customise the tooltip using the macro parameters then click Insert.
