Customise Panel Content - Dashboard Example
|Please read our Release Notes for an important change to how the dashboard panels work in ThemeBuilder 5.4.0+ for Confluence 5.9+|
The Dashboard is a good place to start branding and customisations.
The default Confluence Dashboard shows a Welcome Message, Get Started section, Spaces/Pages/Network lists and Recent Updates for Popular, All Updates, Favourite Spaces and Network.
|For ThemeBuilder skins to be used on the Dashboard, or in other global areas such as search, profiles and space administration, the Site Theme in Confluence Administration > Look and Feel > Themes must be set to ThemeBuilder.|
If you wanted to remove the Get Started section you would find and remove the macro from the Dashboard panel in the Skin Editor.
In the Skin Editor click the pencil icon next to the Dashboard panel Id.
A popup panel editor will show the panel’s content.
Find the panel-element with the name ‘page.dashboard.actions’ and remove the whole macro.
<ac:macro ac:name="panel-element"> <ac:parameterac:name="element">page.dashboard-actions</ac:parameter> </ac:macro>
Click ‘Apply’ and your changes will be saved.
Open a new browser tab or window and navigate to the Confluence Dashboard. The Dashboard section ‘Get Started’ does not appear.
