Just a quick post to let people know that there seems to be some significant problems with the latest Visibility plugin developed by David Peterson of CustomWare Asia. This plugin is regularly used in customised environments...

Symptoms

The problem manifests itself as displaying the raw HTML syntax of the rendered output of the macros.

Quick Fix

Downgrade to the previous release of the plugin. To do this:

Go in to Plugin Repository client
Scroll down to "Visibility Plugin" entry
Click the hyperlinked "Visibility Plugin" to show detail view for the plugin (not the +)
Page will appear to go blank - scroll up to top to see the detailed info on the plugin
Click the "Downgrade" link adjacent to the currently installed version to downgrade

Permanent Fix

As of Theme Builder 3 beta 24, we have added similar features to our builder-show macro and builder-hide macro.

The new parameters are documented (see links to macros above) and allow you to filter content based on user, group or space-level privileges. There is also an @anonymous meta user and group for showing/hiding content to/from anonymous (not logged in) users.

Future Plans

It's possible that a future release of Theme Builder may include an @author and @owner meta user for displaying content to the author of an object (page, blogpost, space) or the owner of the space respectively.
