There are a couple of questions we hear a lot. Here are their answers:

What's the maximum number of children I can have in an issue?

Hierarchy for Jira Cloud supports up to 200 children in an issue. If you require more than 200 issues as direct children of another issue, contact support and we can raise this limit.

How long will I see issues in Hierarchy for Jira after they've been resolved?

By default, when you load a project, all top-level issues that are either unresolved or resolved, but less than 90 days old are shown.

If you select a Release or Filter, all issues in the release or filter are shown, even if they’re resolved and over 90 days old. You can adjust your filters to exclude resolved issues, if desired.
