Permissions

By default, everyone can edit, create and delete guides in Guided Pathways for Confluence. In the Global Permissions screen, administrators can enable restrictions and set permissions in Guided Pathways for Confluence to restrict who can create, edit and delete guides.

Permissions are set in the Global Permissions screen. The Global Permissions screen is accessible from the cog in the Guided Pathways header.

User Roles

By default, all users are guide managers. When restrictions are enabled, only administrators and users who have been granted permissions are guide managers.

The table below outlines user roles when restrictions are enabled.

Enable or Disable Restrictions

Toggle restrictions on or off. By default, everyone can edit, create, and delete guides. Turning on restrictions limits these actions to administrators and users or groups defined under the Guide Manager section.

Grant Individual Permissions

Here, administrators can grant permissions to individual users. Granting users permissions allows them to create, edit and delete any guide. To grant permissions to a user, search for their name and click Save.

Grant Group Permissions

Here, administrators can grant permissions to groups of users. Granting a group permissions allows every user in that group to create, edit and delete any guide. To grant permissions to a group, search for the group name and click Save.

Please note that guide content inherits the Confluence permissions from the parent page. If you are experiencing issues where users cannot view content within a guide, check the Confluence permissions for the parent page.
