Set Permission Groups for Encrypted Fields

By default, all new encrypted fields have no groups assigned, so no users can view their values. To allow view and edit access to a field, you must add a group to the custom field permissions table. 

To view and edit the permissions for all encrypted custom fields that have been configured in your Jira, follow these steps: 

1. Navigate to the administration Cog and select Manage Apps.

2. Under Apps, select Custom Field Permissions Admin. 
3. To edit the permissions for a field, click the drop-down in the Permission Groups column. Select one or more groups to give permissions to.
   Users in these groups can view, edit, and delete the field's value.
