Create a Protected Field

To create a new protected custom field that can be used in any space:

  1. Navigate to the administration Cog and select Work items.

  2. Under Fields in the side navigation, select Fields, then Create new field.

  3. In the Create Field panel, select the Field Type. In this case, select one of the field types prefaced with Field-Permissions. There are three field types available for Custom Field Permissions: 

    • Number Field 

    • Text Field (multi line)

    • Text Field (single line)

  4. Enter a Name, and Description for the new field.

  5. Click Create.

With the new field created, you can now add it to a field configuration.
