Create an Incident
To create an incident you need to first create an issue on Jira. When you create the issue on Jira, the text in the Summary field will be the name of the incident created on Statuspage.
Navigate to the Jira issue you wish to link to Statuspage.
You can use One Statuspage, with any type of issue.
- In the Details section of the page select Click to manage incident status.
- Select the desired status from the Statuspage Status dropdown. Investigating is the default option.
(Optional) Select the affected components from the Add Components dropdown menu.
If you add more than 5 components they will be split into pages. The arrows under the list will allow you to switch between pages.
Then use the dropdown Status menus to set the status of each component. The options are:
- Operational
- Degraded performance
- Partial outage
- Major outage
- Under maintenance
- (Optional) Add a message to appear on Statuspage. The Statuspage default message is shown if nothing is entered.
- Click Create Incident.
